An Historian About... 21 January 2024
Hello again dear readers!
I won’t lie- it does not look like 2024 is going to be a better year than 2023, at least for me. (And the frigid cold does not help…) However, that does not mean that I can’t continue to read and love books, to research and share history, and to watch as many period dramas as I want. And that makes me happy, because I truly love being able to share my recommendations and reviews with all of you.
Which reminds me before I forget: if there is something you want to see in the newsletter, please leave a comment or send an email to anhistorianabouttown@gmail.com! If you want to see a different genre in books, a specific period, or a particular historical topic, please feel free to let me know. I’m always happy to branch out!
It has been quite cold here in the middle of Canada (as it has been in many places), so I’ve been spending most of my time inside! Agnes and I have fully caught up on Ghosts (UK version), as well making a solid head start on my 2024 reading goals. (Okay, Agnes did not help with the reading…)
New newsletter features!: I’m going to be including a What I’m Reading/Watching section in the newsletter now with whatever I’m reading or watching at the moment! It’s not always history related so I’ve not included it in my period drama or book recommendations, but I think that people may enjoy them also!
