An Historian About... 21 April 2024
Hello again dear readers!
I will admit, this has been a stressful time for me. This week and last week, I’ve had/will have tests for my health stuff, which I find tough. And Agnes (my westie) has been having some issues the last few weeks. (She is the adorable dog who has opened this newsletter.) Thus, I’ve been escaping more than usual into books and period dramas. (Any good thoughts would be very much appreciated!)
My library has changed up their streaming services, and it turns out that I can access quite a few more movies and shows- I would recommend periodically checking in to see what you can access. (Shows are a bit of a pain- it seems like it could take you a couple of months to be able to watch all episodes from a season/series, but movies are great.)
In fun news, I’ve got another book sale coming up. It is the biggest charity book sale in my city, and I am always able to find some real gems there. People end up clearing out old royal biographies and different history books, and I’m always thrilled to find them. I will hopefully have a newsletter update next weekend with some finds!
In this newsletter you will find: a rollicking Regency romance, a dance with the Bard, some happy royal news items for a change, and a Bridgerton-adjacent author!
