An Historian About... 1 October 2023
Hello again dear readers!
The year moves along and we now find ourselves in October already! And that means that we are marking the six-month anniversary of this very newsletter. To everyone who is here reading this- thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support means the world to me, and I love being able to share more history and culture with you. And if there is anything you want to see, please let me know!
I had a strong finish to the month, as I was able to catch the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Snow White. The costumes were designed by Jean Paul Gaultier, so I knew on that alone it would be a spectacular show. However, the striking choreography, the creativity of movement, and the sheer action of it made for an almost perfect ballet. At one point the seven dwarves are climbing up and down a rock wall, and it was one of my favourite scenes ever in a ballet. (It would have been perfect if we could have had more of the dwarves.)
Other than that, I am truly into “go-time” for Blogmas content as I get all of it written and scheduled. I will say, I love Blogmas but it is a challenge to come up with new and interesting content 8 years on. (A Christmas challenge is my ideal challenge!) It is such a personal holiday for everyone, and I adore the challenge of delving into that.
